We came home and the process of creating began. Matthew peeled and cut the carrots, boiled the beans....(yep the peas I thought we had at home were beans)....and helped cut the caulifower. I taught him how to cut the red pepper and Ray helped Matthew cut the rib eye steaks into strips.
We steamed, boiled, stir-fried and sauteed the various foods and Matthew arranged them on a plate. Now the meat in strips had to be placed in a glass for a few minutes after being cooked to give it a roundish appearence (that is the best way I can describe it) and put in the middle of our plates in 'circles'. He then cut up the cauliflower and filled the circles and decorated the plates with the remaining vegetables
So - who do you think has been watching too much Master Chef.....!?
Hugs all round.

Wow! Looks like you have a chef in your future. Awesome. I would totally dig that if my kids got the chef skills down so I don't need to cook anymore and they can cook for me.
That's was lovely Anthea! I don't even know how to cook well. Matthew did a great job.
Yummy! I'd eat that!
LOL! I am loving Masterchef too! Matthew did a great job on his meal, he's obviously a Masterchef in the making! (Tell him that I'd send him through into the next round.)
Maybe when he gets good enough, you can set him Mystery Box challenges with whats left in the fridge at the end of the week...

Yep all, this is one interest that I will be fostering - (much better than pokemon, yugioh or bakugan). Sue - good idea about the mystery box challenges....I'll get right on it. hehehe
Anthea - Brielle's PJs are a size 0. Got them as a hand-me-down from a friend. (By the looks of the tag, they are from Kmart or Best & Less.) They are good for her because they are elasticised around the legs (otherwise she would be stepping on them). We are moving towards needing size 1 tops and still 0 bottoms...
Well my brother loved to bake as a kid-those instant cakes and stuff. Now he watches all the cooking shows and recreates very amazing meals! So hats off to the chef! Hey Emeril is a millionaire so I say go Matthew!
What a cleaver young man my grandson is.. Never know, he might just be a great chef himself one day.
Love you all mum
